A walk, a picnic, and some splashing fun.....
We have had a good day so far. :o) I told the kids this am I would take them for a walk and to the park. After I told them I would, I really didn't want to. I made myself get ready and we went.
It was really nice to get outside. The warm sun and fresh air helped my mood I think.
The kids and I and the dog walked to the new park that was put in a few weeks ago. Andrew and Kimberly had fun playing while I sat in the shade with Noah. It is warm out there by the way.
Then we headed home. Andrew did good on the way there and half way home, but he had enough of the walking. So I had to get him in the stroller too. I had him hold Noah on his lap and then strapped them in. Meanwhile I have a little dog running around my legs getting all tangled up on me and the stroller. Finally we get all untangled and we start walking home again. Well I took the bike path on the way home. The path is not straight and it isn't just hills, no, it is like side ways. You know how you see races on TV the road goes side ways so the cars look like they are actually driving side-ways. It isn't easy pushing a double stroller with 3 kids in it and having to hold onto a dog on a leash. I got my work out for the day that was for sure.
When we got home Noah was ready for a nap so the other 2 and I had a picnic outside. It really is fun spending quality time with your kids. I feel bad that I have put them off at times for silly things.
Our picnic and fun in the back yard turned into somewhat of a water fight. :o) I was hosing down the cement slab in the back that has our sand box on it and Andrew decided he was gonna run in the water. This is a change for him, last year the child was scared of the blues clues sprinkler and even the little swimming pool. Andrew kept running in the water and I got him soaked. Meanwhile Kimberly is standing at the corner of the yard crying cuz she didn't want to get wet. She thinks like her Daddy- She didn't want to get wet cuz she is made of sugar and doesn't want to melt I guess.
All in all the kids and I had fun. They are down for a nap now. I should be too, but laundry has called again.
Sorry for another boring entrie. :o)
